Customer Service Representative Summary of Responsibilities
Provide service to Airgas National Welders customers through counter sales and local delivery. Assist in all areas of the operation in order to complete assignments at hand. Position reports to the appropriate manager.
Detailed Responsibilities

• Apply entry level knowledge of products, a product database, selling and service skills to assist customers in the purchase of welding supplies, equipment and gases. Assist walk-in customers as well as customers who call in by phone. Create customer delivery tickets and handle basic inquiries in the computer to answer customers questions.
• Strive to steadily increase product knowledge of the gases, welding supplies, equipment and their applications through personal initiative as well as through structured training programs.
• Assist in merchandising the showroom and in the housekeeping needs that must be done to provide a pleasant, safe and productive sales environment.
• Become CDL qualified and maintain qualification and comply with all laws and policies regarding safe driving and the safe handling of hazardous materials. Assist in the loading and unloading of the route trucks as needed and make local deliveries that are not scheduled for route delivery. Substitute for Route Sales or Route Delivery Representative as needed.
• Assist other district personnel in regular and scheduled district activities, such as physical inventories as needed or assigned.
  
  Required Licenses or Certifications
  Must possess a Commercial Drivers License(CDL)and is required to qualify under DOT regulations.
  
  Education
  Requires ability to read, write, perform basic math functions, and ability to learn and develop computer skills. Must be able to deal effectively with customers, and maintain a positive corporate image while serving customers. Equivalent to High School education.
  Physical Requirements
  Must pass DOT physical and maintain physical qualifications. Must be able to dead lift up to 50lbs. Using a hand truck or by rolling, must be able to regularly move 100lb cylinders off and on to a truck and occasionally, must move containers weighing over 200lbs.
