JOB DUTIES: Sell gases, welding equipment and supplies to prospective and establish customers in assigned territory. Position reports to District Manager or District Sales Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Sell gases, welding equipment and supplies at a profit. Maintain company's professional image with good customer relations. Place emphasis on establishing strong and lasting relationships. Call on existing and potential customers to solicit gas and hardgood business. Pay particular attention to top 25 and other key accounts assigned. Continue to cultivate new business through cold calls. Pass along appropriate sales leads to other sales divisions within the company. Enforce corporate credit policy and assist in the collection of past due accounts. Prepare written and oral quotes. Negotiate pricing and terms to achieve optimum profitable business. Demonstrate and install new equipment. Maintain a current level of expertise and knowledge of products, state-of-the-art welding supply and gas applications, and changing customer requirements. Continue to improve selling skills by participating in company-sponsored and vendor-sponsored training events.

 

• Coordinate all selling and service activities with appropriate Inside Sales Representative.

• Maintain accurate customer files and complete assigned reports on a timely basis.

• Access and input customer and product database system.

• Assist other district personnel in regular and scheduled district activities, such as physical inventories, as needed or assigned.
